Seriously, don't bother thinking about it, just get it downloaded and drink down the lyrical genius of one of the UK's most slept-on emcees...

Antimix Ten...

It's simple - it's not a podcast, there's no talking or rap shout-outs, just an hour or so of sampled/sampleable/plain-fucken-good records, played back to back, with no mixing or turntable trickery and it's available as a FREE DOWNLOAD. Couldn't be easier.

For this installment, the eternally miserable, misanthropic record collector, DJ, MC and sometime ANTISOCIAL contributor known as DOCTOR ZOOTS finally finds the time to share a selection of music from his deep crates with the ill-informed masses.

Get to know...

Antimix Eight...again...

I know that I already posted this but I've had to move it from it's original location due to the large amount of pricks from France and Belgium that insist on spamming the original page...anyway, here's the description...

Blah, blah, blah, excuses, blah, blah, blah, drum-heavy, blah, blah, blah, old and new, blah, blah, blah, vinyl, blah, blah, blah, tired, blah, blah, blah, lazy, blah, blah, blah, bald.
Enjoy.

Due to the invention of alcohol and it's adverse effects on certain people of the no-haired persuasion, the PAINTWASTERS WEBSHITE has been offline for a few months now and whilst I'm sure most of you have missed it as much as a cancerous mole on your sack, I am happy to announce that it is back and looking much the same as before but with almost 90% LESS actual content... Gertcha...

Here's the result of a five minute trawl on YouTube a tribute to one of my all-time favourite UK rap acts, the mighty LONDON POSSE, who in my ill-informed opinion are hip hop's answer to Chas N Dave...because their music is always good for a shout-along session and, er, they're cockerkneeees.
Sure bladdy...

Holdin' Court...

SATURDAY 10TH NOVEMBER 2012:

"HOLDIN' COURT are pleased to announce FLIPTRIX, VERB-T & DJ MADNICE of HIGH FOCUS RECORDS will be performing for us at our first official event in READING this November

In support of the above is CRACKER JON who is gaining momentum of his own and has been identified by Fliptrix as someone to watch out for!

We're also pleased to welcome back BENNY DICTION, this time accompanied by Tony Skank. Benny Diction's last performance alongside beat producer Able8 was certainly one of the stand-out sets of this year for Holdin' Court.

For those who don’t know, we’ve been running independent Hip-Hop nights in the local area for almost four years! We’ve worked tirelessly on a zero budget to bring among some of the best rappers, DJ’s and beat producers to a growing audience. Now we look to build by bringing Holdin’ Court to a new location with a venue that reflects our ethos as a community based organisation."

The Rising Sun Arts Centre
30 Silver St, Reading RG1 2ST

IMPORTANT BIT ABOUT TICKETS:

CHEAPER TICKETS for this event can be purchased in advance from the HOLDIN' COURT web shop GET YOURS NOW!! (PLEASE ensure to print out your confirmation email and bring it with you on the night to gain entry.)

Truth Be Told...

Remember when record companies used to release 12" singles that they would give to DJ's and media types in exchange for some cost-effective exposure?

Anywaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, here's a song that you can download for free in the hope that you see fit to spend your hard-earned corn on the forthcoming album by Apollo Brown & Guilty Simpson...

Get Up...

Back Again...

Yup, after a properly rubbish couple of months I have finally got round to adding yet more useless, uninspired/stolen shite to this badly lit, dusty, slightly damp corner of the world wide hindernet.
Feel free to send music, flyers, photos, video links, filth, death threats etc... to ANTISOCIALBLOG@YMAIL.COM so I that I can repost them and save myself the bother of actually having to think up my own original content...
Blogging shmogging!!

The Natural Curriculum...

Following the success of TNC's debut vinyl release "Dayse & Aver - EP0001" back in 2011, the lads have stepped up their game with "EP003/4" a self-financed, limited DOUBLE vinyl pressing in a gatefold sleeve for the 2012/13 season. Boom.

The first vinyl is a mixture of brand new crew material and classic TNC bangers, whilst the second is a darker, more twisted collection of unheard solo tracks from the Green Ox that is producer and emcee, Aver.

The VINYL ONLY release will be available from 27th August and I seriously recommend that you CLICK HERE TO CHECK THE TNC WEBSITE FOR DETAILS OF HOW TO GET YOURSELVES A COUPLE OF COPIES BEFORE THEY ALL GET SOLD AND YOU'RE LEFT BIDDING FOR A BATTERED, OVERPRICED SECOND-HAND COPY ON EBAY!!
Don't sleep.

Give The Drummer Some...

my man KID DYNO over at the ever-good DAILY DIGGERS has posted this drum-heavy excursion for your listening pleasure, get on it...

Painting With Snails...

Finally finished 70 days of work yesterday for the Olympic Torch Relay (essentially a two and a half month rolling advert for a bank, a fizzy drinks maker and a manufacturer of electrical goods...) and have spent today washing dirty clothes, smoking cigs, drinking tea, sweating like a blind poof in a hot dog factory, opening threatening letters off the bank and generally trying to piece my mashed head back together.
Anyway, now I'm back home with unlimited hindernet access and that, I shall be making more regular updates (stealing bits off other people's blogs that I go to for, ahem, "inspiration") for ANTISOCIAL and the PAINTWASTERS WEBSHITE, which is great news for the two people, who aren't me or your mum, that actually give a flying fuck about such things.

Normal service has resumed, stay tuned...
